Description:
This wood framed rowhouse had very little usable original structure, the result of poor original construction, fire damage, and general deterioration. An entirely new steel framed structure was provided inside of the original building envelope, retaining the original shell while providing the owner with effectively a new building.

The new structural systems consists of steel moment frames supporting engineered wood infill framing. A new rear extension expanded the living space while a roof deck featuring a green roof garden expanded the outdoor space.
