Structure:
Due to the proximity of the NYC subway the foundation system requires a mix of piles and mat foundation. The structural system below and at grade is cast in place concrete, allowing maximum floor heights while minimizing excavation and underpinning. Above grade a structural steel system utilizing long span deck systems combines the benefits of steel while preserving clear heights. A mixed lateral system, braced and moment frames, maximizes the floor plans.
